After looking at my for this website I found out that 70% of people that visit this site use Internet Explorer. And since it is unlikely that many of you will take my advice and switch to the much faster, safer Mozilla Firefox, I thought I would give a quick tip I know that will greatly increase the speed of your internet browser.

Its really quite simple to do. To do it, simply right click the shortcut on your desktop for internet explorer, go to the “shortcut” tab, and in the target row insert “-nohome” after the file location. It should now read something like: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe -nohome. Then click the apply button and restart the browser.

This trick should increase the speed of your browser by somewhere around 50% around starting up! Adding this tab stops Internet Explorer from opening your homepage, which takes a lot of time away from loading. If you want to access your homepage this can still be done by clicking on the “Home” key.

If your smart you will not have to use this trick. You will just use Firefox!
