If you are a gmail user, you have probably seen those “You are currently using 32 MB (0%) of your 6697 MB.” at least once. Well since no one will probably ever use that much space have you ever thought about how you can actually utilize all that storage space?
Believe it or not there is a way to put all that storage to good use. With a little help you can basically add 7 GB of free disk space to your computers storage. There are a couple of different programs available on the internet that allow you to utilize gmail’s storage as basically a web based hard drive. The one that I find most useful and easiest to use is called Gmail Drive. Here is a link to where you can download it for free http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,25212;order,1;page,1;c,All%20Downloads/description.html#. This program basically works as an extension to your internet browser, from which you can drag and drop files in and out of your new online hard drive via gmail.
If you search for this on google, you will find a wikipedia article that says this is against the terms of service of google but it is not. That person was informed incorrectly. I have personally been doing this for over a year now with no problems.
