Of course, statcounter isn’t perfect and not as fancy as some competitors like google analytics, but it certainly is one of the most efficient web trackers.

Statcounter is 100% real time! it also lets you track you visitors on a one by one basis which is very usefull when starting a new site / blog to get to understand you visitors (interests, behaviours…).

Needless to mention that once you reach a certain daily pageviews, you will need to switch to the paid version, but this is something that won’t happen in the near future.

Statcounter is a service I have been using for years now and I certainly recommend it. The only drawback I can metion is the small log size that only lets you analyze the last 500 pageviews.

So yes, statcounter is a tool that deserves to be added to your list probably in addition to another service like google analytics.
